At Wallapop, we believe that accessibility is key to building a more inclusive platform. Our goal is for everyone, regardless of their abilities, to be able to access and enjoy our services without barriers.

That’s why we are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our website and app, applying best practices and in line with current regulations, including Law 11/2023, of May 8, which transposes Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act). We also follow the European technical standard EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at AA level, which we use as our main technical reference.

Although the level of compliance is currently partial, we continue to make progress. Some content may still not be fully accessible. Commitment to Accessibility

At Wallapop, we continuously work to improve the experience of those who use our website and app. We are committed to offering an accessible platform, in line with digital accessibility standards, in accordance with current regulations applicable to private companies in the field of digital accessibility.

Compliance Status

At Wallapop, we are actively working to adapt our digital products to the European technical standard EN 301 549 v3.2.1, in compliance with Law 11/2023, Royal Decree 193/2023, and Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act).

Currently, the degree of conformity is partial, and we are aware that there are areas that need improvement. Our team is committed to continuing to correct and evolve the accessibility of our platforms so that anyone can use Wallapop without barriers.

Areas Under Improvement

Website

Based on the analyses carried out, we have identified some aspects that we are still working on improving:

  • Incorporation of appropriate text alternatives for non-text content such as images, logos, icons, or graphics (WCAG 2.2 criterion 1.1.1).
  • Improvement of semantic structure to represent relationships and hierarchies in an accessible way (criteria 1.3.1 and 1.3.2).
  • Full support for autocomplete in forms (criterion 1.3.5).
  • Review of color contrast in graphic elements, interactive elements, and text (criteria 1.4.3 and 1.4.11).
  • Elimination of the exclusive use of color to convey information (criterion 1.4.1).
  • Improvement in scalability and zoom on the interface (criterion 1.4.4).
  • Adjustments to additional content such as tooltips, so that they are also accessible via keyboard and screen readers (criterion 1.4.13).
  • Correction of errors that hinder keyboard navigation or cause focus traps, and improvement of focus visibility (criteria 2.1.1, 2.1.2, 2.4.3 and 2.4.7).
  • Inclusion of a skip to main content link (criterion 2.4.1).
  • Review of focus order, modal behavior, and their interaction with screen readers (criteria 2.4.2 and 2.4.3).
  • Implementation of mechanisms that allow pausing or stopping automatically moving content, such as carousels (criterion 2.2.2).
  • Clarity in the purposes of links and buttons, including their accessible names and states (criteria 2.4.4, 2.5.3, 4.1.2).
  • Ensuring that interactive targets (such as buttons or clickable elements) have an adequate size and clearly identified functions (criterion 2.5.8).
  • Improvement of form labeling, including correct marking of required fields, error communication, and instructions (criteria 3.3.1 and 3.3.2).
  • Clear and accessible communication of alert messages, system statuses, and dynamic changes (criteria 3.2.2, 4.1.3).

Mobile Application

We have identified some aspects of the mobile application that we are still working on improving:

  • Inclusion of adequate descriptions for non-text content, such as images, logos, and icons (criterion 1.1.1).
  • Improvement of semantic structure and correct labeling of controls such as buttons, lists, sliders, required fields, and tables, so that they can be interpreted by screen readers (criterion 1.3.1).
  • Adaptation of display to horizontal orientation, allowing the view to change when the device is rotated (criterion 1.3.4).
  • Correction of insufficient contrast ratios in text and images of text (criterion 1.4.3).
  • Improvement of contrast in non-textual elements such as buttons, indicators, and navigation elements (criterion 1.4.11).
  • Elimination of navigation blockages that prevent progression in certain sections (criterion 2.1.2).
  • Ensuring that interactive targets have an adequate size (criterion 2.5.8).
  • Correct announcement of error messages when interacting with forms (criterion 3.3.1).
  • Improvement of accuracy and clarity in input field labeling (criteria 1.3.5 and 3.3.2).
  • Adequate announcement of names, roles, and states of interactive elements such as buttons, tabs, links, carousels, or sliders (criterion 4.1.2).

Disproportionate Burden

For the time being, Wallapop does not declare any part of its digital products to be exempt due to disproportionate burden, in accordance with Article 14 of Directive (EU) 2019/882.

Content Outside the Scope of Application

Currently, no content is identified as being outside the scope of application defined by Article 2 of Directive (EU) 2019/882.
