Counterfeit and Intellectual Property item policy DRAFT

We do not allow unauthentic products to be listed on Wallapop.The listing of counterfeit items or items that violate intellectual property rights are stricly prohibited. Items sold using a brand logo or brand name must be original and made or manufactured by the brand.

Prohibited products include bootlegs, fakes, or pirated copies of products or content; products that have been illegally replicated, reproduced, or manufactured; and products that infringe another party’s intellectual property rights.

What is the policy?

Any product that has been illegally replicated, reproduced or manufactured.
Infringement of intellectual property or industrial rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, fakes, or trade secrets.
Infringement of privacy rights.
Modified electronic products.

Examples of counterfeit products include but are not limited to:
A replica handbag, watch, or sneakers. For example, a bag bearing the Gucci® name or logo that was neither made nor authorised for sale by Gucci®
Knockoff electronics, such as headphones or accessories like a charging cable.
Knockoff cosmetics
A T-shirt printed with copyrighted images
Unauthorised or pirated copies. This includes but is not limited to pirated, duplicated, backed-up or bootlegged copies of books, videos, films, music CDs, MP3s, MP4s, photographs, radio programs, concerts, television programs and video games

Listings need to follow these guidelines:
Take original photos that are clear, showing multiple angles and all details
Do not hide or blur logos or any parts of the item
Do not list an item if you are not certain it is authentic or if an authenticator has been unable to confirm its authenticity
Activity that doesn’t follow Wallapop policy could result in a range of actions including for example: …..?

Why does Wallapop have this policy?
Counterfeit products are illegal and not allowed on Wallapop. We do not allow counterfeit porducts because hese items may infringe on someone’s copyright or trademark.
